New York New York Casino

The New York New York Hotel and Casino is as much a landmark on the Strip as the Eiffel Tower is in Paris. The façade which depicts some of the most famous buildings in the city adds an urban and realistic reminder of one of our favorite cities in the nation. The Strip would be nothing without Lady Liberty proudly protecting the giant coaster which is now one of the biggest attractions on Las Vegas Blvd. However, real gamers didn’t come here to ride a coaster; they came to play and to the casino at New York New York is slowly gaining popularity.

The casino at New York New York (like most things in the real city) is small but dense. They have all the tables games you love like blackjack, craps, Pai Gow, Let It Ride, roulette, baccarat, and even some of the ones that you don’t: Casino War, Big 6, etc. The casino offers a pretty good selection of slots which start at pennies and go up to $100 machines so everyone can find a denomination they’re comfortable with. Much of the casino is designed to resemble parts of New York City. Just off the casino floor, you can take a walk through central park. When it comes to less expensive betting, New York New York offers plenty of options. Many of the blackjack tables start at $10 and there are even some $5 tables set up during the weekdays. The slot club at New York New York is the MGM Mirage slot club and points can be redeemed at any of the hotels. When it comes to comps, those betting $50 hands are considered for free food and those betting $100 hands or better are considered for free rooms.

The race and sports book is pretty big for this relatively small casino. There are 24 TVs however most of them focus on racing. The real attraction of this area is the ESPN Zone next door which is the ultimate destination for watching sports. They have theater-style chairs, food, an arcade, and the list goes on. So the hotel’s aim is to get you to bet in the sports book and then go watch in the fancy chairs inside the ESPN Zone. So the race and sports book really focuses on the racing crowd. However, betting at the sports book and then heading into the ESPN Zone really isn’t a bad idea. They have several different options for seating and even some fancy reserved sections that high-rollers love. The place is also great for kids and they serve big plates of greasy food. When it comes to sports and sports betting New York New York really has the bases covered.
