Las Vegas Wranglers

The Las Vegas Strip can get tiring after a while and after a few days Las Vegas visitors are often looking for a few Off-Strip activities. Although it may seem like there is no life outside of the Strip, Las Vegas is actually home to its own hockey team. On August 14, 2003, The Wranglers were signed as the affiliate team of the Calgary Flames NHL team. The Las Vegas Wranglers are a favorite among locals, and visitors can join in the fun as well. The Wranglers season runs from mid-October to April. So, if all the shopping dining, and drinking has gotten the best of you, than catch some of the action at a Las Vegas Wranglers game.
The Orleans Arena is located only 2 miles west of the Las Vegas Strip on Tropicana Ave, right near the Orleans Hotel. The arena is also home to several concerts throughout the year and it’s a great place to go when looking to get away from the Strip. Many people forget that sports exist in Las Vegas (outside smoke-filled sports books). However, the action is intense in this arena so get ready for a fast-passed game of hockey. After just one visit, you’ll be a Wranglers fan for life!
