Orleans Las Vegas Casino

The theme at Orleans seams slightly underplayed which isn’t always a bad thing. This off-Strip hotel offers some really good gaming which is still the main focus of this hotel. They also offer not-badly prices rooms close to the Strip and luxury amenities. They have great entertainment at the arena, a nice spa, a movie theater, and a bowling alley. If you want to have fun in Vegas, do some gambling, and not spend a ton, the Orleans Las Vegas is a great deal.

The casino itself isn’t the biggest but the gaming is great. People are actually into the games, yelling, and having fun. People also seem to be winning at the Orleans which always draws a crowd. They offer table games starting at around $5 as the average minimum bet. Sometimes you will find tables with lower prices, but beware as these tables often have the lowest odds as well. They offer all the usuals: craps, baccarat, blackjack, three card poker, roulette, Pai Gow, and a few others. Slot machines are vast with a wide variety. They start at nickel slots and go up from there. There are both older slots with levers and some of the newer video slots. There is also a good selection of video-poker which is a crowd favorite. Drinks in the Orleans casino are free and the waitresses are fast, efficient, and in skimpy costumes that are reminiscent of old Las Vegas. The Orleans casino is also well-known for being generous with comps. They usually will offer free meals to those betting $20 a hand for a few hours. The slot club will also offer lots of discounts in the mail so sign up and use it if you plan on playing.

The Orleans has a decent race and sports book with around 36 TVs. There are also 150 seats that are designated for racing or sports. There are 12 betting windows for racing and six for sports betting. There is also an electronic light board with the scores posted. The betting minimums are the standard $5 for sports betting and $2 for racing. They even run promotions for racer bettors to try to play down the sports aspect of the book.

There is also a pretty nice poker room just off the main casino floor. This room is huge with plenty of tables that are mostly reserved for tournaments. On any given day you may find about two dozen tables reserved for regular play. However, the tournaments are full of action at the Orleans and they offer many, so players here come to play and most are pretty good.
