Palace Station Casino Review

When it comes to serious gamblers, the Station casinos are the favorites and Palace Station was the first so many Las Vegas old-timers still flock to this hotel looking for bargains. The hotel offers low-priced rooms in a good off-Strip location. Locals try their best not to end up on the actual Strip and this is a nice place for them to hide out and enjoy decent gaming. Another nice thing about this casino is that there’s no theme. The hotel is toned down a bit and simple for those who have had enough on the Strip.

The casino offers all your usually favorite games and with over 40 tables, they don’t skip any. They deal: blackjack, craps, Pai Gow, baccarat, Let It Ride, roulette, and many others. The casino is very big so take your time to walk around and weigh all your options before making a selection. The gambling here is designed for people on a fixed budget so most of the tables have minimums of $5 if not even less at some times. Games like Pai Gow may start around $10 and craps with 10x odds starts at about $25. Cocktail service here is also fast and the drinks are free. Most of the slots are pretty cheap as well, they range from a nickel up to around $25. Palace Station also offers generous comps that keep everyone coming back. They pay an average of 10% back for slot players.

Another favorite spot at the Palace Station casino is the race and sports book. Serious bettors frequent this place. However, amateurs are known to get in on the action for big events. There are 45 TVs with half for sports and half for racing. Race bettors love this place and these more traditional gamblers are still the favorite at this casino. There are also about 200 seats with areas for both sports and race bettors. There is a bar and a Subway restaurant located right in the book so no one has to go hungry or thirsty during a long game.

The Palace Station runs a fun poker room which is great for skilled players because the people here know what they’re doing. There are nine tables in the poker room that deals mostly Hold-em with a few no limit games every once in a while, but on average the stakes are pretty low and locals love this. Don’t be surprised, also, if a lot of the players in here even know each other. While some might be intimidated by this, others find the atmosphere fun and intviting.
