This hotel is definitely NOT the Wynn, Palazzo, or Venetian…but it is nice. The train station theme is a bit cheesy, but this place is cheap making it very affordable for a Vegas hotel. The place smells a bit smoky, but that is expected from some of the older hotels in Las Vegas. The hotel seems to be for the locals for the most part. They are always at the casino gambling or at the hotel just having dinner. But, the hotel does indeed cater to the tourists, as well. Our room was comfortable and very nice. But, our walls and doors were really thin so we could hear everything outside of our room, making it a bit hard to sleep. But, it was so nice being able to roll out of our room and right out onto the casino floor. Plus, the casino’s downtown tend to have lower bet minimums, so you can spend more time in the casino, than in the hotels on the Strip. I do enjoy the feel of the downtown hotels in general.
