Palazzo Lobby

As you approach the entrance to the Palazzo, the grand gold and glass doors will be opened for you by one of the friendly bell hops eagerly awaiting your arrival. Step inside and the grandeur will leave you breathless. A two-story fountain surrounds an “ice” sculpture of barely clothed women with water flowing down their bodies. The women rest on a large column that sits in a brass dome surrounded by flowers and plant life. Large bronze columns stand just below the 60 foot ceiling that forms into a domed skylight, keeping fresh daylight flowing throughout the lobby. The ceiling around the skylight offers beautiful paintings of the sky. As you approach the check-in desk you will notice an optical illusion. The large wall behind the desk appears to be a mirror but the image in the mirror is of an Italian countryside.

As you approach the check-in desk you will be greeted by friendly ushers who will help move the line along. As you approach the desk, chances are that the clerk behind the desk will already know your name (Just a little Las Vegas touch to keep you on your toes). Gold and bronze fixtures accent the marble floors and ornate touches throughout the lobby area. The Palazzo is luxurious, yet still maintains an Italian theme like its sister property, the Venetian. The fountain in the lobby of the Palazzo is perfect for people watching, take a seat on the marble step and you will have a perfect view of not only the street outside but also the busy casino and the check-in desk. As you walk through the casino you will come to another lobby that connects the Palazzo and the Venetian. The two-story waterfall is the centerpiece of this area with a large pond below which allows guests to sit almost right-up-against the water without getting wet. The waterfall is accompanied on either side by escalators leading up to the Shoppes and the Palazzo and the Grand Canal Shoppes.
