The Theater for the Performing Arts at Planet Hollywood is a completely remodeled performing arts venue which is home to musical acts, Broadway musicals, opera, ballet, and much more. A 7,000 seat theater like this one is rare; considering many of the concert venues hold more than 10,000. The theater opened in 1976 after the Aladdin underwent major renovation. The venue was created to house multiple types of performances with curtains that could be changed to split the theater into sections and create seating for more or less depending on the show. The theater has also been the home of several Miss America, Miss USA, and Miss Universe pageants.
Plush comfortable seating is blended with contemporary décor that you aren’t used to finding inside a performing arts center. Many, even in Las Vegas, are decorated to resemble old European opera houses. The theater is currently the home of Steve Wyrick’s Real Magic Show as well as Hans Klok’s The Beauty of Magic.
