Pink’s Hot Dogs has been an LA staple since 1939, when Paul Pink opened up a hot dog stand on the side of the street. He sold chili dogs for 10 cents to hungry people looking for good, cheap eats in a struggling economy. Once he made enough profit he was able to open up a restaurant in 1946 his business continued to thrive and grow, turning into the LA staple that remains popular with celebrities today. If you check out the official Pink’s website, you can see photos of every celebrity possible posing with Pink’s current owners. Bill Cosby, Henry Winkler (The Fonz), James Earl Jones (Darth Vader), Jimmy Kimmel, Celine Dion, Bruce Willis, Snoop Dog and Jennifer Garner are all famous celebs that have stopped by to try out the world famous hotdog. The list of LA celebs can go on and on, but now Las Vegas has its own Pink’s right here at the Planet Hollywood. The food is good, cheap and the ambience is very casual. You won’t need to worry about high-heels or ties at this diner-style restaurant. It’s open late for those times you drink just a little too much and end up with late night cravings. Hot dogs aren’t the only things Pink’s serves. You can get burgers, nachos, a bowl of chili, onion rings and for dessert classic coconut or marble cake. You definitely have to try out the hot dogs, though. We have a few to recommend. Check out the Guadalajara Dog with relish, onions and tomatoes all topped with sour cream. If you like polish sausage, check out the Chicago Polish Dog with mild or spicy, mustard, relish, onions, tomatoes and lettuce. Finally, check out the Poli-Bacon Cheeseburger. It features one grilled Polish dog on a hamburger bun with bacon, lettuce, tomatoes and mayonnaise. While you’re there, try to see how many celebrities have their own Pink’s hotdog! Martha Stewart, Rosie O’Donnell, Ozzy Osbourne, La Toya Jackson, Holly Madison and Kim Kardashian all have their own custom hot dogs on Pink’s menu. Which one will be your favorite? This hotspot is a must-see at the Planet Hollywood.
