Spa Tips

A day at one of many Las Vegas spas can be extremely relaxing. However, a spa day in Vegas takes a little bit of planning. If you are traveling to town for a bachelorette party or a wedding, a day at the spa is a must for the bridal party. Many spas on the Strip offer unique wedding packages that include a relaxing massage for the bride, hair and nail service for the bridal party, champagne, snacks, etc. However, there is no need for a special occasion in order to enjoy a day of pampering during an otherwise energetic vacation.

The first rule of thumb at any Las Vegas spa is to book well in advance, especially for signature treatments. Openings for the more popular treatments tend to fill up quickly, especially at luxury resorts such as Wynn, Venetian, Caesars Palace, etc. In fact, some of the high-end hotels offer spas that are a resort entirely to themselves. For a unique European experience, book a day at the bathhouse at THEHotel at Mandalay Bay. Bathhouse combines unique water features in a bathing and spa experience that is different from anything on the Strip. Saunas, Jacuzzis, water falls, rain walls, misters, and plunge pools are available for use with a one day pass. Varying temperatures in the water create soothing properties that refresh and relax you.

Another must see, spa is the Canyon Ranch Spa at the Venetian. The spa is an entire complex complete with a gym, restaurant, and a spa treatment area. Signature treatments include hot stone massage, body wraps, aromatherapy, wax treatments, and much more. When visiting any spa in Las Vegas it is usually a good idea to bring a towel, bathing suit, and a change of clothing. After you are done with your treatment, you will be able to use the changing facilities before returning to your room. If you are going to go straight out afterwards, you may also want to bring makeup, a hairdryer, and other accessories. It’s also a good idea to check-in to the spa at least 15 minutes before your treatment to allow time to use the rest of the spa facility before your treatment begins.
