The Lion Habitat at MGM Grand

The Lion Habitat at MGM Grand is a unique experience. As a guest at the Signature at MGM Grand, you will get full access to the facilities and attractions of the MGM Grand Hotel. Spectators can get up close and personal with these beautiful creatures. The specially designed Lion Habitat is open for viewing to the public during the day and the lions are often out and about. Guests are allowed to take pictures and get as close as they want to the glass. It’s not unusual to see a trainer in with the lions petting and feeding them without any type of protective equipment. This shows just how tame and well trained these special show lions are.

But what makes this animal habitat different than most is that the lions seen in here, don’t live inside this tiny glass cage. They are actually only in the cage for 6 hours at a time and then rotated out. The lions live on a ranch 12 miles from the MGM Grand where they are allowed to roam free and are cared for by lion expert Keith Evans. These animals aren’t zoo animals by any means. They appear on television shows, movies, and in magazines. The lion habitat is really just a side gig for these amazing creatures. So don’t be afraid to snap a few photos, these lions love the camera and they are more than happy to show off for the crowds before they head back to their luxury estate. What a life! So, take a walk on the wild side over to MGM Grand on your next stay at the Signature at MGM Grand.
