Treasure Island Lobby Review

The Treasure Island Hotel (also known as T.I.) is one of the most fantasy like hotels on the Strip. Children love the bright colors and tropical theme. As you approach the hotel you cannot miss the large ship that appears ship wrecked against the side of the building. Visitors must walk across the drawbridge and over water that gives T.I. its island appearance in order to get to the hotel. On one side of the drawbridge you will see the pirate ship with torn flags and worn-down exterior, on the other side of the drawbridge you will see shops and restaurants peeking out from a rock enclave across the water.
Walk across the bridge and enter the pirate-themed hotel. Bright colors and a nautical theme are everywhere. You will see skulls, cross-bones, and much more. Lanterns and dated-looking architecture make you feel like you are right inside a pirate ship. However, the marble floors and dazzling slot machines remind you that you are still in Las Vegas. As you walk through the lobby you will see everything from tropical themed areas with palm trees, parrots, and colorful motifs to pirate-themed areas with small villages and balconies above shops were pirates might come out of. Most of the décor, especially the ceilings, look much older than it really is. Colorful wood-carvings line the ceilings and the pillars that you will notice as you walk through the reception area. Dark suede curtains with luxurious gold tassels look like antiques hanging above the reception desk.
Look above and you will see the homes of the pirates, nestled quietly above the restaurants along the walls. Dimly lit rooms look like there are pirates inside resting before they set sail on their next adventure. The realistic looking homes have rugs curtains and even clothes hanging from the balconies.
