When it comes to sweets in Vegas, you have a whole host of options from which to choose. From massive candy stores to over-the-top dessert experiences and beyond, Vegas offers no shortage of opportunities to satisfy every sweet tooth. The steamy summer temperatures, however, make ice cream (and its various frozen dessert relatives) the intuitive choice this time of year. Here are seven Sin City ice cream and frozen dessert spots that are perfect to visit with the whole family this summer, as they offer something fresh and unique for everyone to enjoy.
Luv-it Frozen Custard
Serving Las Vegas since 1973, Luv-it Frozen Custard is a staple for locals and visitors alike. Since 1973 this little shop has been making fresh custard from only the highest quality ingredients. While they specialize in sundaes, there’s much more in store for you if you’d like. Walk up to the window and choose from vanilla, chocolate or two unique daily flavors. Try a special sundae like the Caramel Praline or the Pineapple Puff.
Luv-it Frozen Custard is located at 505 E. Oakey Boulevard.
This Asian-inspired dessert shop offers more than just ice cream. Featuring 22 flavors of ice cream and more than 20 toppings, this unique spot in Las Vegas also features shaved ice, snow ice, halo-halo (a Filipino shaved ice dessert), honey toast, bubble waffles, bear waffles, and more! Creamberry is the home of the famous Cotton Candy Burrito. Along with the famed burrito, Creamberry also serves rolled ice cream tacos. The honey dew fluff is my personal favorite, but my kids can’t resist a bear waffle with ice cream. No matter what you choose, it’ll be sweet.
Creamberry is located at 7965 S. Rainbow Boulevard.
Sloan’s Ice Cream
If you want to take your ice cream experience to another level, try the sundaes at Sloan’s Homemade Ice Cream. Kids will love the Treasure Box Sundae, complete with circus ice cream in an actual treasure box. If you’re treating the entire family, try the towering Sandcastle sundae option. If you just want to stop in for a scoop, you’ll find a flavor to make everyone happy.
Located in the Grand Canal Shoppes inside the Venetian.
Sticks & Shakes
Sticks & Shakes offers more than 20 different gelato and sorbet flavors that you can enjoy alone or combine with other offerings to create one of hundreds of different shakes. The menu also includes British Shakes, which are made with favorite candies from across the pond, including Smarties and Maltesers. If you’re not in the mood for a shake, try a frozen banana, cheesecake on a stick, or hot donuts. You can’t go wrong.
Sticks & Shake has two Las Vegas locations, Fashion Show and Galleria at Sunset.
Lappert’s Ice Cream Shoppe
This homemade ice cream from California is known for its unique flavors. Stop in and try something new like Costa Rican Plantain Cajeta, Mexican Chocolate Cinnamon Swirl and Philippine Macapuno Peach Sorbet or stick with my favorites Udderly Pure and Hawaiian Sea Salt Caramel. A well-loved spot in Downtown Las Vegas, Lappert’s Ice Cream Shoppe also serves coffee and donuts.
Lappert’s Ice Cream Shoppe is located inside the California Hotel & Casino.
Magnolia Ice Cream
Magnolia Ice Cream is a sweet spot for those craving Filipino flavors. Try your favorite flavors or indulge in something new, like Ube, Lychee, Avocado, Thai Tea or Buko Pandan. Magnolia Ice Cream also has plenty of halo-halo treats to keep you happy.
Magnolia Ice Cream is located at 3890 S. Maryland Parkway.
It’s not shaved ice, and it’s not ice cream, but it’s amazing. This unique frozen dessert is totally worth the trip, and will keep you coming back. Try the Coconut Delight, a personal favorite, or create your own.
Milkywave is located at 5020 Spring Mountain Road.
