The chicken has finally crossed the road into the Las Vegas Strip. California’s favorite chicken coop, The Crack Shack, opened its door at Park MGM on Sunday, August 11th. Tourists and locals alike are in for a real culinary treat.
Gracing us from sunny Southern California – with 5 standing locations in Encinitas, Costa Mesa, San Diego, Century City and Pasadena – The Crack Shack combines fried chicken with a luxury coating of culinary elements that will make the taste buds of any chicken lover tingle with delight. The coop is run by celebrity chef Richard Blais, known for his win on Bravo’s Top Chef All-Stars and his recurring role as a judge on Top Chef and Master Chef. Blais creates bold flavors with breakfast, lunch and dinner dishes such as the Double Clucker (two ground chicken patties, cheddar, bacon, smashed avo, burger sauce, pickles and fried onions, all stacked in the middle of a fluffy potato roll) and the Coop Deville (fried chicken, pickled fresno chilies, lime mayo, napa cabbage, topped and bottomed with two brioche buns). Small bites include perfectly crisp Chicken Oysters, Mini Biscuits drizzled with miso-maple butter Schmaltz Fries, and so much more.
Even veggie munchers can have a crack at this place, with vegan and vegetarian options such as the Miso Healthy Salad (arugula, cabbage, sesame seeds, miso ginger vinaigrette, pickled cuke, crunchy rice noodles, pineapple), the Downward Dog (seasonal grilled vegetables, quinoa, hummus and lemon yogurt vinaigrette) and the Border Slaw (papaya, mango, jicama, coconut, chili and pineapple).
The dessert menu gives delectable options to all you to tap out of the coop fully satisfied. Cool off from the bold flavors of the chicken dishes with a Cookie Monster or Strawberry Shortcake milkshake. You can also opt to munch one of the monstrous Cookies du Jour offered in flavors like s’mores and cookies n’ crème.
And even if you’re simply looking for just good ‘ol friend chicken, guests also have the option to crunch on 5- or 10-piece fried chicken meals, with choices of various dipping sauces to add more kick and flavor.
