Nothing is better than an evening of laughter. After all, they say laughter really is the best medicine and we couldn’t agree more. With the amazing line up of comedy on the Las Vegas Strip – from Absinthe’s salacious antics to Mac King Comedy and even visiting stand-up stars like Chris Tucker – we never miss an opportunity to chuckle our way through the evening and toast to the talent. We put together a list of our favorite cocktail spots to set the fun mood of the evening before your comedy show. Although we’re pairing cocktails and comedy, there is nothing funny about how delicious and crafted these unique cocktails are, from the classics to drinks you’ve never dreamed of. We’ll be taking you through a cocktail tour en route to the show, and highly recommend winding down the evening, post-show, this way as well.
Oak and Ivy
707 Fremont St.
We love Oak and Ivy for the laid-back, relaxed atmosphere of the Container Park in Downtown Vegas. Oak and Ivy offers a perfect blend of the cocktails you know and love, as well as a few to excite the more adventurous drinkers. You can even take a risk, give the bartender some parameters based on your favorite flavors, and let them create a unique cocktail just for you. Our personal favorites include the “Stop and Smell the Roses” and their famous Moscow Mule, a drink we will never say no to.
1218 S Main St.
With an eclectic, hipster atmosphere, you’ll find cocktails to match being both creative in their presentation and the taste! Death Becomes Her is one of our favorites, as well as the Special Tea, a vodka-infused, high tea dream. If you prefer your drinks on the sweet side, definitely give The Breakfast Club a try.
Juniper Cocktail Lounge
3770 S Las Vegas Blvd.
Right inside the Park MGM, you’ll find funky cocktails and a buzzy lounge. Start with “A Little Birdie,” which literally comes in a little glass bird and is so tasty you’ll want a pair of them! We also love the Ramos Gin Fizz, which will probably be served slightly overflowing, so sip fast. The drinks are just as fun as their presentation in an array of glass holders that keep the sipping fun and photo-worthy.
