Kelly Clarkson fans have been waiting for a moment like this. The GRAMMY Award-winning singer has announced she will be headlining a brand-new Las Vegas residency. Kelly Clarkson: Invincible will open on Wednesday, April 1 at Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.
The American Idol winner made the announcement on her daytime talk show earlier this month.
"It's not an April Fools' joke, but it does debut April 1," Clarkson said.
“Not only am I getting to perform, I’m gonna get to play all the Wheel of Fortune slots, which is really my reason for going there,” Clarkson joked in front of a line of Vegas showgirls.
During the show, Clarkson replaced her usual Kellyoke segment, in which she covers songs by other artists, with a medley of her own material, giving the audience a taste of what will be on display in her Vegas residency show.
Designed exclusively for the Zappos Theater, the production will include Kelly’s nearly two-decade long catalog of hits all backed by her longtime band. Clarkson will also offer VIP Experiences that bundle premium tickets with exclusive show perks like a stage-side bar. Fans will also be able to meet the superstar as a part of an exclusive meet-and-greet.
"I've always loved performing in Las Vegas and the high energy of the crowds there," said Kelly Clarkson in a statement. "So many of my musical idols have had, and still have, incredible residencies on The Strip, and I'm so excited to create my own!"
Kelly Clarkson will perform 16 concerts in 2020. The complete list of dates are as follows:
April 2020: 1, 3, 4, 10, 11
July 2020: 29, 31
August 2020: 1, 5, 7, 8
September 2020: 18, 19, 23, 25, 26
