When the weather is cold and wintery, the last thing that anyone wants to do is go outside. Luckily, the winters in Las Vegas are mild, and outdoor activities can be enjoyable. There’s more to the strip than just gambling and drinking at the casinos. Many of them offer special, seasonal attractions that can take a boring date night and turn it into something fun, new and exciting. Here are some fun winter date night ideas in Sin City.

Ice Skating at Cosmopolitan
Ice skating in 50 degree weather? It’s possible at the Cosmopolitan. The Cosmopolitan freezes over one of the pools on their top deck and builds an ice skating rink. Along with a fun spin around the rink, be sure to enjoy a hot cup of cocoa while sitting fireside. A very affordable and interactive date night, the admission includes the rental of the ice skates. Offered to locals and tourists alike, there’s fun for everyone.

Bellagio Garden
If being outside isn’t your thing, take your date inside to experience the magic and wonder of the botanical garden at Bellagio. Bellagio’s display changes with each season, and are put together in house by a special horticulture team. The majority of the items are recycled and reused each time the display changes. The garden is perfect for fun photos together and definitely Instagram worthy. Admission is free and it is open everyday.

Stroll through The Park
Walking the Strip and seeing the sights is a classic choice for a date night in Las Vegas. Take a stroll through Vegas’s dining and entertainment center, and enjoy the sights of the neon lights of the casinos and the specialty artwork throughout. There’s also a wide range of dining options and walk-up bars to visit. Be sure to stop by Beer Haus for an amazing local craft beer, and challenge your date to a game of Corn Hole.

Hockey Game at T-Mobile Arena
Even if you aren’t a fan of hockey or the teams playing, experiencing a hockey game at the arena is a must. Las Vegas locals love their hockey team. There is always a parade before each game with a live marching band, an MC entertaining the crowd and fans rallying. Then, head inside the arena, because it is like no other. The concession stands offer gourmet-style food options, such as pizza from Pizza Forte, tacos and top-shelf liquor and beer. Take your date night up several notches and purchase box seats. You and your date will not be disappointed. If you can’t score tickets, the game is shown on a big screen outside of the arena.

Neon Sign Museum
A classic must-see for anyone that visits Las Vegas, also great for locals. The museum hosts some of the original and most iconic neon signs from the hotels and casinos in Las Vegas. A trip to the museum is a perfect winter date, especially in the evening when the lights are shining the brightest. The Neon Sign Museum offers self-guided tours or guided tours. They do allow photos to be taken during the tour, but professional photography equipment is not allowed. So don’t worry – you can still get those amazing Instagram photos. Also, Nevada residents receive a discount on tickets with a valid drivers license. Be sure to book your tickets in advance, because the tours do sell out fast.
