New Year’s Eve just got a lot hotter in Las Vegas. Maroon 5 and its frontman Adam Levine, who was just named the Sexiest Man Alive by People Magazine, will be doing a pair of shows at Mandalay Bay on December 30 and 31. Helping ring in 2014 with the group are Rozzi Crane and A Great Big World. Should be a great way to close out 2013!

Moving onto the charity work of Vegas, I told you yesterday that “Rock of Ages” at the Venetian star and narrator Mark Shunock successfully launched his “Mondays Dark” monthly fundraisers Monday night at Body English in the Hard Rock Hotel. Today I’m here to tell you what Strip stars and other celebs came out to perform and participate in honor of the special night.

Travis Cloer of “Jersey Boys” at Paris Las Vegas, rock god Paul Shortino and Emmy-nominated actress Dot-Marie Jones of “Glee” were Mark’s first guest’s in the variety talk show.

During the evening Dot announced that her fiancé Bridgett Casteen and she have set an wedding date early in the New Year for their nuptials right here in Las Vegas. Meanwhile, Mark asked Travis about is starring role as Frankie Valli in “Jersey Boys” and Paul wowed the audience with his rendition of Simon & Garfunkel’s “Bridge Over Troubled Water.” Mark closed out the show by reading Shel Silverstein’s popular poem “The Giving Tree,” followed by his “Rock of Ages” cast mates singing Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing.”

Other stars attending the show included “Jersey Boys” Deven May and girlfriend Dayna Roselli; Chris Phillips of Zowie Bowie; Quad headliner Jeff Civillico; singer Sky Dee Miles; “American Idol” Season 3 finalist Jasmine Trias and her boyfriend Ben Hale of “Million Dollar Quartet” at Harrah’s; Aid for AIDS of Nevada board Chairman Marek Bute and many more.

The next “Mondays Dark” show will be in support of AFAN on the third Thursday of December. Mark has planned a total of 12 over the year to meet his fundraising goal of $120,000.

In other Las Vegas celebrity news, Leonardo DiCaprio and former flame Australian model and Victoria’s Secret hottie Miranda Kerr, ran into each other at a private dinner party in Sushi Samba at the Palazzo. DiCaprio, who was in town for the UFC 167 fight didn’t get a chance to sit next to the gorgeous model as Tao/Lavo owner Jason Strauss sat in between them!

Harrah’s comedy magician Mac King donated $13,000 to Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation from sales of more than 5,200 bracelets at his twice-daily shows.

That’s all of the Las Vegas celebrity news I have for today. Have a great Wednesday and I’ll see you right back here tomorrow for more!
