The Las Vegas Strip is always aglow, but this past week, the Strip was even brighter when Paris Las Vegas debuted a $1.7 million light show at the Eiffel Tower. The show was in celebration of the property’s upcoming platinum anniversary.

The fancy kickoff of Paris Las Vegas’ 20th anniversary included celebrities chef Guy Savoy and French singer and actress Line Renaud.

Lights on the tower were synchronized to a special soundtrack beginning with La Marseillaise, the French national anthem followed by Edith Piaf’s version of “Where Is Your Heart.”

The light show was inspired by the Eiffel Tower’s illuminations in France. The enhanced lighting at the Paris Las Vegas attraction incorporates 300 wash lights and 800 strobe lights. Guests can enjoy the nightly light show every 30 minutes on the hour and half hour from sunset to midnight.

In addition to the light show, the resort will also offer elevated experiences for its guests including an additional 1,600 renovated guest rooms and the all-new Vole Spa & Salon as it celebrates its platinum anniversary.

"As we celebrate the resort's 20th anniversary this year, Paris Las Vegas continues to bring the same spirit, sophistication and romance of the European City of Light to the heart of The Strip," said Gary Selesner, regional president of Paris Las Vegas in a statement. "In addition to the enhanced Eiffel Tower light show, the world-class resort welcomes visitors with all 2,900 redesigned guest rooms, the new Voie Spa & Salon and distinctive culinary and entertainment options."
