Despite its reputation as the City of Entertainment, Las Vegas is an underrated destination for comedy lovers. The Los Angeles and New York comedy scenes are renowned, but for some reason, Sin City’s standing as a great place to catch live comedy hasn’t caught on. However, recent developments, such as the Comedy Cellar at the Rio and Jimmy Kimmel’s soon-to-be-opened comedy club at the Linq Promenade are seeking to change that.
Want to get in on the ground floor before the Las Vegas comedy scene blows up in a major way? Give yourself the distinct pleasure of being able to say “I knew about that first” by hitting up one of these Las Vegas comedy spots.
LA Comedy Club
Located at the Stratosphere – or the Strat, as it’s now known – the LA Comedy Club is an award-winning 160-seat venue. Touring comedians roll through the venue each night at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. Six nights a week, comedy fans can also see James Michael’s Redneck Comedy Magic Show.
Laugh Factory
Want to see national and local Las Vegas comedians in the same spot? Head to Laugh Factory at Tropicana, where you can see an ever-changing roster of comedians each night at 8:30 or 10:30 p.m. An ultra-raunchy set takes place at midnight.
Comedy Cellar
The iconic New York Comedy Cellar now has a home in Las Vegas. You can expect the same east coast vibes and legendary standards at this new venue at the Rio. The Comedy Cellar in Vegas is an exact replica of the original. Here, you can enjoy cocktails and cuisine from chefs plus an authentic New York comedy experience seven nights a week at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.
Brad Garrett’s Comedy Club
Comedian Brad Garrett of Everybody Loves Raymond fame takes center stage at his namesake comedy club inside MGM Grand. You can catch him live alongside other comedians each night at 8 p.m.
Jokesters Comedy Club
The Las Vegas Strip isn’t the only destination for live comedy. Head downtown to the D Casino Hotel on Fremont Street for stand up comedy, seven nights a week at 10:30 p.m. This venue is home to local and touring comedians, including those who have been featured on Comedy Central, HBO, Howard Stern, Conan and elsewhere.
Las Vegas Live Comedy Club
The sheer number of shows at the V Theater at Miracle Mile can make it hard to choose just one. Comedy fans should definitely opt for a nightly 9 p.m. set at the Las Vegas Live Comedy Club. As an added bonus, the venue is just steps away from a number of restaurants, making for the perfect dinner-and-a-show date night experience.
Bonkerz Comedy Club
Bonkerz Comedy Club puts on performances both on and off the Strip. Catch comedians at the Rampart Casino in Summerlin, Sunset Casino in Henderson, Topgolf, Arizona Charlie’s and Hamburger Mary’s. If you happen to be way, way, way off-Strip in Pahrump, Nevada, you can see a performance at the Pahrump Nugget.
