Garfunkel & Oates Playlist by Best of Vegas

Kate Micucci and partner Riki Lindhome, make up the hilarious folk-singing comedy duo Garfunkel and Oates. Taking the name of the two famous rock-and-roll artists, Art Garfunkel and John Oates, Micucci and Lindhome regularly perform and tour across the country with their no-nonsense songs. This March 21, they will bring their comedy music to the Venetian for a one-night only show in the all-female comedy troupe, Lipshtick. To get ready for their comedy, Best of Vegas has compiled a list of their best songs. If you haven’t heard any of these we urge you to do so now!

The Loophole – Pre-marital sex has never been as hilarious as it is in Garfunkel & Oates song “Loophole.” Lindhome and Micucci have created a song dedicated to the backdoor loophole to the Biblical ban on pre-martial sex. The result will make you blush and laugh out loud.

Pregnant Women Are Smug – If you ever had a pregnant friend that drove you crazy the second she found out she was expecting, this song is for you. Lindhome and Micucci point out how deep and important pregnant women think they are. It’s hilarious to hear them talk about the clichés every pregnant woman falls prey to, and the video that accompanies it is just as funny. The video was even a part of the comedy duo’s HBO Go series.

Sex With Ducks
– Pat Robertson once said, “It’s a long downward slide. That will lead to legalizing sex with ducks. If two men can stand, side by side.” Garfunkel & Oates realized Robertson was right and they wrote a song about it. “Sex With Ducks” is a hilarious over-the-top song about hoping one day to legally be able to have sex with ducks, just like Robertson stated. It’s ridiculous and you won’t be able to stop laughing at Garfunkel and Oates sincerity when they sing it!

I Don’t Know Who You Are – Garfunkel and Oates sing about the awkward moments when you run in to somebody who claims to know you and you have no idea who they are. The duo, sing about whether they are the jerk for not remembering or the other person is just boring they aren’t memorable. They finally decide the latter and in a hilarious way ask the person to “get a catchphrase, get an accent, get a face tattoo,” so they’ll be recognizable next time.

To hear any of these hilarious songs don’t miss Garfunkel and Oates during Lipshtick at The Venetian on Saturday, March 21 at 9:30 p.m. You can find discounted tickets right here on Best of Vegas.
