If you only have 24-hours in Las Vegas, you need to plan your day down to a T. Winging it will only lead you flustered, and likely missing out on some good things. Luckily, Best of Vegas has come up with a game plan for anybody hitting the Strip for one-single day.
Once you arrive in the city, immediately dump your stuff at the hotel. Take a look around, check out the amenities and if the hotel has any fun entertainment you could visit later in the day. Take note then go eat.
Kick off your 24-hours with a giant meal. Buffets are a plenty in Vegas. It’s hard not to find one but we recommend the buffet at The Wynn. For a cheaper option, The Tropicana offers some great dishes. Hash Hosue A Go Go is an absolute must with massive pancakes, special Eggs Benedict and the Smores mocha coffee.
After your massive brunch it’s time to walk off some of those pancakes. Hit the Strip and start enjoying some daytime fun. The Bellagio has some great things to check out that are either free and/or really unique to see like The Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens. The gardens offer seasonal displays that are gorgeous to walk through. The Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art is also on property and is home to stunning art pieces.
You can also travel around the world with a climb up the Eiffel Tower at Paris Las Vegas, float down the Venice canals at The Venetian Hotel and Casino and walk the streets of New York at New York-New York Hotel & Casino. The Luxor even boasts Egypt’s pyramids.
Depending on when you visit Vegas, a pool party might be in order. If you can stay at a Vegas resort that hosts a popular pool party so you don’t have to go far. Side note: if you do a pool party, be prepared to NOT do much else on this list.
For dinner we suggest another buffet. Head back to Paris Las Vegas where you’ll enjoy fabulous French dishes at Le Village Buffet. For a little more upscale dinner, you have to try the Eiffel Tower Restaurant. Head to the top of the Tower and enjoy stunning views of the Strip with the restaurant’s floor-to-ceiling windows. The menu is also incredible and full of French gems like Whole Boneless Dover Sole and Foie Gras Torchon.
Before the Partying Begins
There is usually a little down time after dinner and before you visit a Vegas nightclub. Here is when we recommend exploring the Strip a little more. The Bellagio always puts on a stunning water display at their fountains. You can even take things up a notch with a 12-minute helicopter ride over the famous Strip and the Mirage’s Polynesian volcano is fun to watch explode as the Grateful Dead plays in the background. And of course, you have to visit a Vegas casino. Just make sure you’re wearing a watch. Casinos don’t have clocks so you lose track of time quickly.
Vegas is known for its wild nightclub parties so it is a no-brainer you have to visit one. You can’t really go wrong with any of them. If you want to try and see a celebrity hit up Tao at the Venetian. Daris’ at The Cromwell offers live music from such artists as T.I. Future and others. Hakassan at MGM Grand is where the world’s biggest DJs go like Tiesto, Calvin Harris and Steve Aoki. Whichever you choose you’ll have a blast.
