|Country’s cutest couple Tim McGraw and Faith Hill are about to show Las Vegas just how in love they really are during their new limited residency show Soul2Soul at the Venetian this Friday, Jan, 18 and Saturday, Jan. 19. To welcome the two lovebirds and talented singers back to the Venetian stage, my co-workers and I have been narrowing down our favorite Tim and Faith songs to bring you the top five. And while it hasn’t been an easy task, we think you’ll agree with our choices.|
Breathe – This smoldering love song reached No. 2 on Billboard’s Hot 100 and stayed at the top of the country charts for four weeks.
Why we like it: This song is very intimate but without being x-rated. Faith pours out how she feels by stating that words cannot express her love. It’s only her physical desire that can do the trick! It’s both beautiful and intense.
This Kiss – This song was the first single released from Faith’s 1998 album Faith. It became a crossover single, reaching #1 on the U.S. Canadian country charts and reached Top 10 on the US Pop and Adult Contemporary charts, as well as Top Ten in Australia and Top 20 in the United Kingdom.
Why we like it: It’s the first time a song has reflected what it’s like to share a first kiss with a crush. And with lines like “It’s centrifugal motion/ It’s perpetual bliss / It’s that pivotal moment” This Kiss gave us several new ways to explain how we felt post-smooch!
Live Like You Were Dying – Easily the most popular Tim McGraw song of his decades long career, Live Like you Were Dying entered the Billboard 200 chart at number one in its first week, was certified 4 x Platinum by the RIAA, and was nominated for four Grammies in 2005 for Best Country Vocal Performance Male and Best Country Album, winning Best Country Vocal Performance.
Why we like it: Live Like You Were Dying is about a man diagnosed with a terminal illness, who chooses to spend his remaining days “sky diving” and Rocky Mountain climbing.” It makes us want to tackle life by the horns and spend more time with the ones we love.
Something Like That – According to Nielson BDS, this song was the top-played radio single in any musical genre In the 2000s. It also reached #1 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks and reached #1 on the Canadian RPM Country Singles and peaked at #28 on the Billboard hot 100.
Why we like it: Who doesn’t love reminiscing about a past summer romance? And with lyrics like “She had a suntan line and red lipstick / I worked so hard for that first kiss / A heart don't forget something like that" it takes us back to long summer days and first kisses.
It’s Your Love – Taken from Tim’s multi-platinum selling album, “Everywhere” It’s Your Love reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart in its fifth week on the chart. The accompanying music video showcases a pregnant Faith with the couple’s first child, Gracie giving audiences a glimpse into their lives.
Why we like it: We can’t make a Tim and Faith best of list without including a song where they both pour their hearts out into one beautiful song. It’s Your Love is that song. With lines like "Better than I was / More than I am / And all of this happened by taking your hand," this love ballad proves to us love really can last, even after Tim and Faith’s 13 years of marriage.
Don’t miss Tim and Faith this Friday and Saturday, Jan. 18 & 19 with discounted tickets right here on Best of Vegas.
