Las Vegas is fun for everyone, but not all dining experiences cater to the needs of families with children. We’ve been around the block a few times with kids – the Strip too, for the matter – and these are our favorite restaurants when dining with children. Visit one of these eateries for an fun, kid-approved addition to your family stay in Vegas.

Rainforest Café
Rainforest Café will always top the list when it comes to kids in Las Vegas. Enjoying a meal in a rainforest is pretty cool, and the thunderstorms, nature sounds and animals make the experience even better. The tropical-themed restaurant also features animatronic monkeys, birds, snakes, butterflies, a crocodile and a tiger. There is also a nice patio that overlooks the Strip and City Center. It’s a fun place to get wild with the kids.

Located at Planet Hollywood. Expect standard kids’ fare on the menu.

Secret Pizza
Play a game of hide and seek while looking for this secret pizza shop, located in the Cosmopolitan. There’s no map and no sign, but there are clues to help you find some of the best New York-style pizza in Las Vegas. The restaurant offers pizza by the slice, or you can share a pie with the family. Have fun with vintage pinball machines and classic arcade games. Secret Pizza is open daily from 11 a.m. – 4 a.m., meaning you can meet the needs of a demanding child at almost any hour.

Located on the 3rd floor of the Cosmopolitan. Expect at least a 15-minute wait in line.

Nacho Daddy
This Vegas-born restaurant is a local staple serving some of the best nachos in Sin City. Famous for its Scorpion Shot, the Miracle Mile restaurant features a live scorpion terrarium built by Acrylic Tank Manufacturing, the Las Vegas business behind the hit television show Tanked. The kids menu also includes expected kids’ fare, plus additional items like sautéed shrimp, marinated fish and niño nachos.

House of Blues
An experience you shouldn’t miss, the House of Blues featured Southern favorites like shrimp and grits, pulled pork, baby back ribs and fried chicken. The live entertainment will keep the entire family rocking through the meal.

House of Blues has a well-priced kids menu, but during July and August kids eat free.

Located at Mandalay Bay.

Big Whiskey
Fast becoming a local favorite, this Midwestern restaurant set roots down in Las Vegas at the Town Square shopping and dining district. Locally owned and operated, Big Whiskey is the perfect spot to watch a game, try a new whiskey or enjoy a family meal.
