Hoping to escape your aches and pains on your next escape to Vegas? The Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas Spa has an upgrade for that.

The luxurious, 27,000-square-foot retreat on the Las Vegas Strip is offering a new Cannabidiol (CBD) Enhancement to accompany any of its indulgent massage therapy treatments.

“Waldorf Astoria Spa Las Vegas is in constant pursuit of the best treatments, spa products and experiences to offer our guests,” explains Waldorf Astoria Spa’s Senior Spa Director Jennifer Lynn. “We look for products that have proven efficacy, not just fads or trends.”

Non-psychoactive and anti-inflammatory, massage creams and oils infused with CBD are considered therapeutic for the mind and the body. While scientific research is still underway, CBD is already being used in the treatment of a wide variety of health conditions including seizure disorder (epilepsy), anxiety, pain, Parkinson’s disease, Crohn disease and more.

The decision to add the CBD Enhancement came after the Nevada State Board of Massage Therapy passed a bill in May to permit the topical application of CBD massage cream or oil by massage therapists.

The Waldorf Astoria Spa’s CBD Enhancement indulges you with the pain-relieving effects of Lacuna Botanicals massage cream, infused with 200 mg ($50) or 500 mg ($100) of CBD. The Colorado-made cream is applied topically by the therapist during your massage for targeted relief in specific areas or as a full body application.

“The CBD massage cream we offer has immediate benefits but also works with cumulative use,” says Lynn, adding that any leftover cream (usually about half) goes home with you for continued at-home care.

Other massage enhancements offered at the spa include an exfoliating Body Scrub Enhancement ($100-$125) with nutrient-rich salts and a detoxifying Back Facial Enhancement ($100).

The Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas Spa, 3752 Las Vegas Boulevard South, is open for spa treatments from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday through Sunday.
